The Committee was pleased to have received several strong applications for the LoveStrong Volleyball Scholarship this year! We were impressed  read about the applicants excitement for the sport, and the desire to improve their skills through camps and clinics. However, the application from Anna Arbo of Marblehead really stood out. Not only did she show perseverance by applying for this scholarship for a second time, but she has worked to build her volleyball “career” over the past year. Her enthusiasm for the sport, and her description of the inclusivity of the volleyball team, and that every player is important in the success of the team, all won high marks from us. Anna will be using this scholarship award to attend Lakeside Volleyball Camp at Castleton State College in Vermont, as well a an Avidity Volleyball Clinic this summer.

We are very grateful for all of the sponsors of the scholarship. In particular, we would like to express our gratitude to the Marblehead Community Charter School for hosting the Second LoveStrong Soccer Tournament which raised $2000 for the scholarship this year! We are grateful to Ella Gildea and Jacob Sherf for organizing this event in honor of Megan.
